The Dawn Of A New Understanding
Raymond Te korako Ruka
We should all feel honored without harboring the minutest of negative thoughts to have been given the incredible honor by someone of allowing us to share part of their journey with them, and they with us.
This is specifically why we were put here–not to test or release anyone or anything, but to reach for that incredible latent power within, to free oneself of the self-inflicted and mistaken beliefs that we ourselves were specifically chosen from out of the myriads of other singular grasses growing in our meadow community to determine what was to be my partner’s pathway forward to becoming the nicest, speck-free greenest blade of grass that they could ever be.
Then have them stand in a lush green dancing field amongst their peers where they are notably the tallest of them all, so high was their head held up erect with self-respect, because of what my own contribution had been in what they had now become!
No, sorry – our partners are their own helmswoman, helmsmen. They steer their own course and we our own.
A deep truth is we see those aspects in another we wish in ourselves, and over time and with hard earned effort we become that incorporated change instead, not, the other way around! We can only change ourselves. We do not have the mandate, God given or otherwise, to change anyone else.
From within this burgeoning awareness comes the antidote to all the negativity that may endeavor to find safe harbor in our future reflections. Rather that every experience of our past should become an intrinsic piece of the scaffolding to hold each of us safe from the tempest of the storm’s winds that may follow – tempered always by the calm tides, as surely they will.
