Mine: We Do Not Use the word “Mine”

Mine: We Do Not Use the word “Mine”

For Waitaha it is always about the none physical aspect in life.

As part of our calling we were never to use the word “Mine.” Naku, Nuku, Oku, which in our language mean Mine.

Therefore, if one were given a gift by someone, we would not say it is “mine.” One would say “Gratitude and Thanks!” And it is the Gratitude and Thanks that we keep and treasure!
