The Most Precious Jewel
Raymond Tekorako Ruka

We the craftspeople, each one of us have only a limited time at the grindstone of life with this precious Jewel to aid in the unveiling of its potential.
For if we spend too long attempting perfection, it will surely fragment back into the nothingness from whence it sprang.
Dust unto dust.
A possible miracle-in-waiting, destroyed by our vanity.
We each have only a few of our own applications to apply then we must set it free to continue its journey, whereby it will its own additions or subtractions.
Then along will come the next Artists to care-take the Jewel and add their interpretations of the day, climet or time. A never-ending process, for we are only entitled to view our own extraordinary part of this preciousness, then we must let go as well, and trust that the process is being guided by an unimaginable Excellence.
For all the humble fillings and scratching’s, we each etch upon the surface and into the very heart of its own unique stone, if done in true faith – will in the end, surely unlock the better angels of our common humanity and proclaim to each and all, our shared identity.
Time and Effort, the incredible tools of that exquisite excellence that created the living cosmos, or even better still, the hug, the kiss and the kind word that built a stonewall of confidence around a small child and helped him grow into a man and remember faithfully to repeat them, word for word – to his own.
